Civil War re-enactors will share period artifacts and talk about life as a soldier. Historian Phillip Edwin Williams will tell the incredible true story of General Palmer’s Civil War experience and his harrowing time as a prisoner of war in Castle Thunder. Navigator Historian Susan Fletcher will share how the Civil War continues to impact our lives today.
The official events will happen at 10 AM and and 12:30 PM. It’s free and open to the public; the attendants at the gate will direct you to the event. For more info, contact Susan Fletcher at (719) 594-2374.
