Here’s an upcoming event that you might like if you love rhubarb or are trying to get more locally-produced foods: the High Altitude Rhubarb Farm in Black Forest is having a big you-pick “farmers market” on June 4-5!
We’ll be starting a brand-new feature on local farmers markets in June – stay tuned, you’re going to love it!
You can harvest their seven different varieties of organic rhubarb yourself and pay a fraction of what you’d pay retail: they’re telling me it’s about the equivalent of paying wholesale prices for organic rhubarb, which is about what non-organic would cost in the grocery store.
They’ll also be selling their unfiltered, local honey that weekend. Visit their website for more information!
