Just a quick reminder that I’m giving a free workshop on Grocery Savings Strategies at Ent Federal Credit Union on Galley on Thursday night! It’s free, and is open to the public, but you do have to sign up. Go here to read more and sign up – there are a few spots left!

Diapers were on my needs list for this week, so I took the hot coupon for a free $10 gift card when you spend $50 to Target and scored a great deal! Right now, the boxes of Huggies and Pampers are on sale for $19.79 and you get a $10 gift card when you buy three. This is not a great deal otherwise, but it’s awesome with the additional $10 gift card bonus! Here’s how to work the deal:
Huggies or Pampers Big Packs – $19.79
Plus, earn a $10 Target gift card when you buy 3 + another $10 gift card for spending $50 with this coupon
$2/1 Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers, exp. 12/31/11 (Walmart Single Page Flyer 11/06/11)
$2/1 Huggies Little Snugglers or Little Movers Diapers, exp. 12/17/11 (SS 11/20/11)
$2/1 Huggies Diapers, exp. 12/17/11 (SS 11/20/11)
$1/1 Pampers Diapers or Pants Box, exp. 12/31/11 (P&G 11/27/11)
Net cost at checkout: $53.37-56.37 when you use three coupons
Net cost after gift cards: $33.37-36.37 or $11.12-12.12 each
That comes out to 11.5-12.6¢ per diaper, which is a great deal these days! Of course, you have to keep in mind that you have to spend over $50 out of pocket and the real savings is reflected in the $20 in gift cards that you’ll receive, so be sure to spend them wisely.
Laura is doing a photobook for the first time and wants your recommendations for the best site to use:
I have never created a photobook and am interested in doing one for a Christmas gift. I am interested in readers’ recommendations since I’m a beginner with about 25 pictures.
What size of book is appropriate for that number of pictures? Are there varying degrees of a company’s quality, price and ease of design? I really would appreciate other’s input.
If you’ve ordered a photobook before, please comment with what companies you’ve used and what you liked or didn’t like about them!
I scored six bags of whole bean coffee for $4.19 per bag at World Market this morning – plus, since I’m a World Market Explorer member and today was double points today, I should be getting a coupon for another free bag! I also used a 10% off coupon that came in the mail yesterday.
For more info on the sale, read this post. Hurry, it’s only available today (Wednesday), and when I was there they had lots of stock (more ground than whole bean) but quite a few people were buying coffee!
Wow, here’s a nice deal if you have some purchases planned for Target: print this coupon and then spend $50 or more in-store through December 3rd and get a $10 Target gift card! Don’t forget to check out the rest of their printable store coupons to help you save even more on your $50 purchase.
Some great deals at Safeway this week – free KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce if you haven’t used the coupon that came out a couple of months back, Stash Tea (I love their chai!) for $1.50 after printable coupon, and more!
Also, this Friday through Sunday, you’ll earn a $10 reward coupon (catalina) when you spend $75 or more (most products included, notable exclusions include milk and the usual suspects like gift cards and stamps). The $75 purchase is after all store discounts and store coupons, but is usually before manufacturer’s coupons, though it seems like it’s been hit or miss according to reader reports lately.
I do wonder if those who have spend $75 before manufacturer’s coupons might have been counting something like milk in the total – that could be why they didn’t get the $10 coupon when they expected to. Anyway, might be something to keep in mind if you’ll be shopping at Safeway this weekend!
I’ve also gotten the same coupon in a few magazines recently: Martha Stewart Living, Disney Family Fun, and Parents (or was it Parenting?). I haven’t spent any of them yet, are there any great deals to be had at Hallmark these days?
