I’m loving all the berry sales we’re seeing these days! My mom said there was an overabundance of strawberries which would make sense given all the strawberry sales we’ve seen over the past few weeks.
This week at Sunflower, though, it’s blackberries that are on sale! I like to wash and then freeze blackberries and make a fruit sauce for pancakes or desserts. All I do is throw them in a pan with a little bit of sugar, cook them until tender, and then puree with my immersion blender (sometimes I just kind of mash them instead of pureeing). And sometimes I’ll add a little cornstarch to thicken it up. It’s a delicious way to enjoy buttermilk pancakes!
