Update: due to unforeseen circumstances, this event has been canceled. We hope to do something in the future and will let you know when there is an opportunity!
Last week, I shared with you about another project that you can join to help us reach out to our community in the wake of the Waldo Canyon Fire. On Saturday, August 4th, we’ll be delivering pans of enchiladas and homemade cookies door-to-door in Mountain Shadows to encourage those families who have returned to a devastated neighborhood.
Springs Bargains is partnering with Mission Foods and Ranch Foods Direct, along with King Soopers and Austin Bluffs Evangelical Free Church, in this effort, but we want and need you to get involved as well.
In order to make this event happen, we need your donations of time and some grocery items. There are several ways you can help: donating some of the items needed for the enchiladas, making cookies, donating gift cards to purchase other perishable grocery items needed, and volunteering to help assemble the enchiladas. Our goal is to reach 100 families in the Mountain Shadows neighborhood, but we can’t do it without you!
I hope you’ll join us – the Mountain Shadows community is going to feel extremely loved by this outreach!
