Update from the Pioneers Museum (Friday at 4:12 PM): “Due to the numerous wildfires currently burning within the state of Colorado, US Forest Service Supervisor Jerri Marr has had to cancel her Q & A session scheduled for 11:00 am at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum on Saturday, June 22, 2013. The event was part of opening day for the Museum’s new exhibition From the Ashes: The Waldo Canyon Fire, which will open at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 22, 2013 as scheduled.”
The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum has a new exhibit opening this weekend, featuring photos and memories from the Waldo Canyon Fire last summer. From The Ashes: The Waldo Canyon Fire opens this Saturday, June 22nd, and on that day, they’ll also have a Q&A time with Jerri Marr, the Forest Service representative that so many of us appreciated during the news conferences for the Waldo Canyon Fire.
The Q&A with Jerri Marr will be from 11 AM to 12 PM, and there is a suggested donation of $5.00. Admission to the museum and its exhibits is free, but they do greatly depend on donations. Find out more here.
