I made pavlova for Jeremy’s birthday this week and my kids eagerly anticipated it, since it’s often something I make as an ah, the kids are in bed treat for Jeremy and myself. :) My oldest was trying to describe what it was to someone and said, “It’s kind of like cardboard on the outside!” LOL. Well, I guess it is supposed to be nice and crispy on the outside (and marshmallowy on the inside), but I don’t think most of us would say it’s like cardboard.
We caught up on the last couple of episodes of Food Network Star this week. I don’t feel like there’s a clear-cut winner at this point – I think Stacey is doing great but she’s starting to get a little annoying to me. I don’t want her to be annoying because I really like her, but I think she’s a little too perfect. And I feel like there hasn’t been anyone whose food really seems to shine this year – I keep thinking about all the awful dishes various people have had and wonder if they can get past that if they actually get a show. (Then again, I suppose most of us never actually taste the food of the shows we watch so who knows if it’s actually good, right?!)
I’m working on updating various companies with our new address and I’m wondering what I might be overlooking. Those of you who are moving experts, what places (that I’m likely to forget about) should I be changing my address with?
