Guess who I got to hang out with this week!
The kids and I have been visiting family in the Midwest this week and I got to hang out with Amy from Amy’s Finer Things and Crystal from Money Saving Mom – and our combined thirteen kids!
It’s so fun to connect and reconnect with friends that have come from blogging. There is much to talk about and time flies crazily fast! Crystal is a wealth of wisdom about blogging as a business and Amy has such a passion for her family and lifestyle that it’s always thought-provoking and inspiring to get together with these two. (Crystal is actually related to me in a roundabout way – she is my husband’s cousin’s wife’s sister-in-law. HA! We won’t be seeing each other at family reunions but it’s fun to be related to someone famous. ;)
It’s been awhile since I’ve experienced a real summer in the Midwest, and wow, I am ready to get back to Colorado. I knew it was going to be hot, but I forgot about the humidity. And the grasshoppers and mosquitoes. Now I remember why I’d go to summer camp in Colorado every year and dream of living in the mountains!
I can’t wait to get back and see the progress on our new-old house – it’s been slow going but hopefully it will start coming together quickly!
