I think I might order my 8yo a pair of Keens.  I’m fed up with him wearing out shoes super quickly – I bought a pair of Filas for him a few months ago, thinking they would hold up (they’re a brand-name, right?!) but they are already ripping apart and look awful.  I’ve heard good things about Keens, though only from adults and little kids (neither of which tend to wear out shoes).  Anyone tried Keens for their elementary-aged kids who play outside a lot?
