Last year, the lowest price we saw on cranberries was $1.00 per bag at Sprouts.  I think I still have a bag or two left from that sale – I need to use them up so I can stock up again!  I like to cook cranberries, pears, and some sugar until the fruit is soft, and then blend it until smooth  We call it Pearberry sauce and eat it warm or cold.  It’s especially good on buttermilk pancakes, and it freezes well, too.
