Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Old Colorado City on Saturday

The annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off is coming up this Saturday, October 19th, in Old Colorado City!  This is a free event that features more than just giant gourds – there’s live music, clowns, face painting, and of course all the scarecrows that come out to decorate the streets of Old Colorado City during the fall.

The event takes place at Old Town Plaza (W. Colorado Avenue and 25th Street) from 10 AM to 3 PM. You can find out more here.  It’s a fun place to get some pictures of your kids a top a giant pumpkin, and if you happen to grow your own pumpkins, I think you can take them to be weighed to see how they stack up, too.
