Immanuel Lutheran Church will be having a cheap (or free with a canned food donation!) silent movie presentation this Sunday, January 19th:
Three famous silent movies with a western theme will be shown. Bud Abbot and Lou Costello in No Indians, Please!, Charlie Chaplin in The Battle of Elderberry Gulch, and The Great Train Robbery, which set new standards for silent movies. During the breaks between the movies, in addition to the popcorn and sodas available, we’ll also have a quiz to see who can recognize some famous movie themes played by Dave Weesner. Prizes will be awarded!
The event will be held from 2:00-3:30 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church gym at the corner of Pikes Peak and Institute. Admission is $1.00 or a donation of canned goods for the Springs Rescue Mission.
