When I and one of my kids was afflicted with strep throat last week, we had to get a rare-for-us prescription for antibiotics. The doctor noticed that we were paying out-of-pocket and recommended Costco as the cheapest place to get most prescriptions, unless it’s one of the $4 ones that Walmart or King Soopers has. (Walgreens is astronomically higher, according to the doc!)
I haven’t regularly filled prescriptions so I have no idea how it actually compares, but I took the doctor’s word for it and got our prescriptions filled at Costco. You don’t have to have a membership – just tell them you need to go to the pharmacy and they’ll let you in without a membership card.
Just thought I’d pass it along in case any of you are looking for the best prices on prescriptions and haven’t checked there yet!
