The Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park is having their annual Scout Day this Saturday, March 8th, and scouts and scout leaders in uniform will receive free admission on that day! They’ll also have a special programs for everyone:
The Challenger Learning Center of Colorado Springs will be here from 11AM-4PM with their program “Living in Space”. This program offers hands-on activities that help visitors understand what it is like to prepare for and live in space. Participants will learn about the components of a space suit and even try on several parts of the space suit. They will also examine the food astronauts eat and try a sample of space ice cream. There will be experiments which allow visitors to learn what it is like to be an astronaut.
Volunteers from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Dinosaur Ridge Museum will also be here with activity tables for even more hands-on fun.
