I know I’m not the only one that doesn’t put potato peelings down the garbage disposal and yet still peels them into the sink and then has to fish them out and put them in the trash can. (Or maybe it’s just me and my mom and my mother-in-law.) No more! I’ve started peeling potatoes directly onto a plastic grocery bag and when I’m done, I just fold it up and throw it in the trash.
This expedites the process of clean up, but also the process of peeling as well – I’m pretty short, and I’ve found it’s easier and faster to peel potatoes at a table or low counter rather than into the sink, where I have to lift my arms more.
For those occasions where you don’t want to peel potatoes, try this method of scrubbing them!
