Chick-fil-A is holding their annual Patriots’ Festival at Mountain Shadows Park this Saturday, September 13th! The event is free (the walk/run and bike ride events do have a registration fee for those 12 and up), and here’s what they’ll be featuring:
– Free Walk, Run or Kids on Bikes Patriotic Bicycle Parade for kids 11 & Under. (Free t-shirts to first 100 to register.) Win a bike for most patriotic costume from Ascent Cycling.
– Free Kids Zone sponsored by Simply Kids Dental with jousting, rock climbing wall, bounce house, obstacle course, slide, face painting, balloons.
– More than a dozen military, fire, police and EMS vehicles lining Flying W Ranch Road for kids to explore including: Army cargo trucks, Air Force demo F22 jet, AMR ambulance, CSFD Fire Engines, Ladder Trucks, Jaws of Life Demo, El Paso Sheriff Mounted Horse Unit and Bear and K-9 demo, Flight for Life Helicopter landing and much more.
– Live entertainment and music.
Parking for this event is at the Verizon building at 2424 Garden of the Gods Rd., and they’ll have shuttles to and from the park. You can find out all the information on the official website.
