Old-Fashioned Family 4th of July at Rock Ledge Ranch

Published June 30, 2016 by Carrie in Expired

Rock Ledge Ranch will host their annual old-fashioned Independence Day celebration on Monday, July 4th, from 10 AM to 5 PM.  The regular admission price applies to this event ($8 for adults and $4 for kids) so it’s not necessarily free or cheap like most of the events I post, but I’ve always thought it sounds like such a great event that I decided I had to mention it this year!

The ranch will have historical reenactments, watermelon eating contests, carnival games, and a lot more as listed on their website.  Some of the events like the carnival games do have an additional charge (last time we were there, I think it was $0.25-$0.50 – bring cash/change!).  Get all the details about this event and other activities at Rock Ledge Ranch on their website.

(By the way, an annual family membership is $40, and if you pay the daily admission price and then decide you’d like to do the annual membership, you can apply your daily admission payment toward the price of a membership that day.)

It starts July 1st and goes through September.  Find out the details here, but you’ll have to sign up in a restaurant.

Cow Appreciation Day Coming Up: Changes for This Year

Published June 28, 2016 by Carrie in Expired

Chick-fil-A’s annual Cow Appreciation Day event is coming up on Tuesday, July 12th!  It’s a little different this year, but it sounds like it will be easier for both participants and the restaurants: wear “anything cow-like” and adults will receive a free entree and kids will receive a free kid’s meal.

The list of entrees is long (it seems like almost everything on their menu is included, including their salads – my favorite)!  You can check out all the details on the offer here.  Also, note that the event ends at 7 PM.  Thanks, Dorinda!
