Yesterday I stopped at the North Academy Goodwill and hit the jackpot! The main things I like to look for when thrifting are books and dishes (because I can never have enough of either!), and normally at this store, I look at the very small kids’ book shelves and only occasionally find a book I want to purchase.
Well, this particular day I had more time so I decided to peruse the whole book section and was shocked to discover that there were a lot of kids’ books mixed in with the adult books! I always wondered why the kids’ section at this Goodwill didn’t have very many books, and now I guess I know.
I was really happy to find the Xeriscape Colorado book, as it’s one I got from the library last summer and got a ton of great information from and was already planning to check out again!
The full Elsie Dinsmore series in hardcover? Yes, please! These days I’m mostly buying books only if they’re in hardcover – it’s one “standard” to keep me in check. ?
I thought these old children’s folding chairs were adorable… especially for $3.99 each!
They’re the perfect size for my youngest two and they centered their activities for the rest of Monday around the chairs.
Let me know if you like seeing thrift store finds – whether I buy them or not!
