Free Activities at Fireplace Warehouse Grand Opening
Fireplace Warehouse Etc. is having a grand opening this Saturday, April 8th, and will have a bounce house, outdoor games and activities, music, popcorn, cotton candy and more for everyone. They’re located at 1722 Paonia Street and the event is from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Free Storytimes, Workshops, and Classes for Kids in April
There’s a variety of places that do a free or cheap craft or storytime event for kids every month – be sure to check out the following places for their events that are going on each month.
- Barnes & Noble: Free storytime and Lego Club, usually on Fridays and Saturdays.

This Monday, April 3rd, Qdoba is going to offer a buy one, get one free deal when you mention this offer and high-five someone at the register! It’s to promote the launch of their new Primetime Nachos, but the buy one, get one free deal is valid for other entrees as well.
$1.50 Ice Cream Deal at Baskin Robbins on Friday
Participating Baskin Robbins locations will be offering ice cream scoops for $1.50 each this Friday, March 31st! Note that locations are franchised so you may want to call ahead to find out if the location you’re planning to visit is honoring this deal. Thanks, Money Saving Mom.

$5 Deal at Lulu’s through Friday
Lulu’s Frozen Yogurt is offering their “don’t weigh it” deal this Wednesday through Friday: pay $5 and fill their special cups with as much as you like. Normally, it’s only on Wednesdays but they’re offering it through the end of March. Lulu’s is located at 9475 Briar Park Point.
More Recent Thrifting Finds
Here’s some of what I’ve found while thrifting lately:
I’ve been looking for teacups for our homeschool group kiddos to use during their literature class and finally rounded out the collection we needed with eight of these from Goodwill. I also got some from an estate sale but unfortunately forgot to take a picture. They were all $1-$2 each.
Half-Priced Cheeseburger Deal on Tuesdays at Sonic
Sonic is now offering half-priced cheeseburgers on Tuesday nights after 5PM, according to their Facebook page. They’ve also resumed half-priced shakes after 8 PM.
