The bottom book on this stack is part of a Time-Life WWII series that I found for my history-loving son a couple of years ago… I thought I’d purchased all of the books in the series, but he was with me the day I was shopping and he didn’t have it so was happy to add it to his collection.
An All About Reading reader for $2.99?! Yes, please! (Found in the adult books section.)
Goodwill’s children’s books are $0.99 for paperback, $1.99 for hardcover. I try to mostly buy hardcover, but sometimes softcover slips in if it’s a book that I don’t see used very often.
And a couple of days after I posted about how much we love Keen shoes, I found these Keens for $3.99. (The warranty doesn’t apply if you’re not the original purchaser but I still like them for $4!)
I’m still holding out hope for hardcover versions of the Chronicles of Narnia series, but we will be using them a lot for school next year so I went ahead and bought the paperbacks I found ($0.99 each) and I will probably buy another set or two so that my kids each have their own and aren’t trying to use them at the same time.
What I think is an antique jar for $3 or so. I’m using it to store granola.
And I got these two antique plates to add to my blue and white dinnerware collection. There was a whole set of teacups and such that matched, but only two dinner plates. (I’m glad there was an even number, because even though I mix and match my blue and white dishes, I still like it to be symmetrical.)
