There’s a variety of places that do a free or cheap craft or storytime event for kids every month – be sure to check out the following places for their events that are going on each month.
Archives for August 2018
I posted about this awhile back but wanted to re-post it since it’s such a great deal! Active-duty and retired military can get a fantastic deal on skiing through the Epic Pass program: you can pay $99 for the military Epic Pass and get unlimited access to 14 resorts throughout the 2018-2019 season! It includes the following resorts:
- Beaver Creek
- Whistler Blackcomb
- Park City
- Afton Alps
- Mt. Brighton
You can also purchase $99 passes for active-duty or retired military dependents. There are also special prices for veterans (not active-duty or retired). For complete details, visit the Epic Pass website.
Dunkin Donuts is offering a special deal for Air Force Falcon football fans this season: the day after the Falcons win, you can get a medium hot or iced coffee for $1! It’s limited to one per guest, excludes cold brew, and is valid for regular season games only. The promotion is valid at participating locations in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Their first game is this Saturday, September 1st. Go Falcons!
This just in from J.P. Fizzy’s Facebook page:

Bass Pro Shops will be having a Labor Day Festival this Saturday and Sunday, September 1st and 2nd, with an archery challenge, duck pond game, crafts, food samples, and lots more! Check out the schedule of events and get complete details on their Facebook event page.
Shakes, floats, and ice cream slushes will be half-priced all day long this Wednesday, August 29th, at Sonic! There’s a limit of five for this deal.
The 49th annual Fountain Valley Fall Festival will be this Monday, September 3rd! The parade will start at 10 AM (take note that it’s a new route this year) with the festival following and other events and activities before and after (including some on Sunday). You can get the scoop on this year’s event on the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Labor Day weekend is a good time to buy gear for the upcoming ski/snowboard season, as there are a couple of big sale events that typically have some great deals on last year’s equipment. Check out Christy Sports’ Powder Daze sale and Epic Mountain Gear’s Ski Rex sale (Epic Mountain Gear is formerly Colorado Ski and Golf). Since my preferred Colorado sport is mountain biking, I don’t have any more tips than to tell you to check it out, but I wanted to at least give you a heads up if you haven’t heard of these sales!
