Who Gives a Scrap in Old Colorado City is having a sale this Friday through Sunday, September 28-30: the entire store (excluding artist works) will be 50% off! This store bills itself as the stop between the thrift store and the landfill, and sells everything from crafting supplies to vintage ephemera. I haven’t been in, but I’ve heard it’s really great and they are always posting unique stuff on their Facebook page.
The third annual Tactile festival will take place this Saturday, September 29th, at the Manitou Art Center:
This free community and family-friendly festival includes intriguing lectures, make-and-take stations, creative demonstrations, artwork showcases, and collaborative projects. Learn about all aspects of textiles, like how fibers transform from animal to fabric to an article of clothing.
They’ll have demonstrations such as weaving, spinning, and knitting; and crafts you can try, such as hand stitching, felting, weaving, and more. Get all of the information here.
