There will be an orchestra concert designed for children at Colorado College on June 13th during their Summer Music Festival:
This treasured annual event is more than just a performance. Please join us for this interactive concert that explains the different instruments and how they work together. The concert will culminate in a performance of The Mountain that Loved a Bird.
Composer and Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw’s musical adaptation of The Mountain that Loved a Bird by Alice McLerran is performed by members of the Festival Orchestra and set to colorful illustrations in this classic story of friendship and renewal.
Get more information on this event on the Colorado College website. At the time of this posting, I don’t see anything about how to get tickets, but you may want to call the office at (719) 389-6552 to inquire, as I believe that you usually have to pick them up ahead of time.
