Head here to download a digital coupon for a free Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt (5.3 oz) at King Soopers! You must load the coupon to your Sooper card today (Friday, February 7th), and you must redeem it by February 22nd, 2014.
Grocery Deals and Coupon Matchups for Colorado Springs
The grocery store sales in Colorado Springs run Wednesday-Tuesday. (At Sprouts, ad cycles run Wednesday-Wednesday with ads overlapping on Wednesday.) We generally publish the weekly grocery deals and coupon matchups for Albertsons, Sprouts, and King Soopers on Tuesday mornings. Safeway's weekly deals and coupon matchups are published on Wednesday morning.
There’s a very rare, really hot deal on a Costco membership from Living Social: join here for $55 and get a $20 Costco Cash Card (like a gift card), plus a package of bonus coupons that’s good for Kirkland Signature™ 48-pack of AA batteries, a free rotisserie chicken, a free Kirkland Signature™ case of water, $4 off Kirkland Signature™ coffee, and $4 off Kirkland Signature albacore tuna. This is valid for first-time members only.
I’ve seen Costco membership deals with the bonus coupons before, but never with a $20 gift card! Go here to read more and purchase. Thanks, Kimberly!
Whole Foods stores will have Izze Soda and Home Run Inn Pizza on sale for 50% off this Friday, January 31st from 3-7 PM. This includes all varieties, but I’m not sure what the shelf prices are.
Also, I just noticed that today, Wednesday only, they will have pistachios for $4.99/lb – a great price these days!
There will be quite a few coupon inserts in the Sunday paper this week! January 26th will bring two Redplum inserts (preview here), one Smartsource (preview here), and a P&G (preview here). If you are buying multiple newspapers to get extra coupons, be sure to check inside the paper before you pay for it to make sure it has all the inserts. (Sometimes they fall out or don’t get stuffed properly.)
The Denver Post has the most coupons of the papers in our region, so it’s the best one to buy for the coupons.
Chris emailed with this question:
I was wondering if you knew which coupon inserts we can throw away. I have sat down with lots of coupon inserts for hours, but as you know that is very time consuming. Thank you in advance for your help with this question!
Here’s what I would recommend doing: head to the coupon database, and right under the search field, click on Advanced Search. Click on the dropdown menu under Source, and then scroll down to find the name of the coupon insert (P&G, RP, and SS). If an insert is still listed in there, it means that there is still at least one coupon in that insert that’s not expired. If it’s not in there, I would say it’s safe to get rid of that particular insert!
The Bimbo Bakery Outlet at Flintridge and Academy (southwest corner) has a few good specials right now: Orowheat bread for $1.79, Thomas English muffins are two for $3.00, and Sara Lee sandwich bread is two for $3.00. Karen, the manager, emailed me about these yesterday evening, and I’m not sure how long they are good.
Lexee emailed with this tip:
Just a note to say that I got an email from King Soopers with “personal prices.” It’s definitely worth checking because one of mine was a coupon for Kroger brand cheese (bar or shredded) – 32 oz for $4.49! that is the best price on cheese I’ve seen in a LONG time – I am so excited!
I got my personal prices via email yesterday, and got the same deal on cheese, and I’m matching Lexee’s excitement! I also had some good prices on Hillshire Farm sausage and eggs. To see what your personal prices are and to load them to your card (Important! They will not work unless you load them!), go here and click on Personal Prices on the left.
There will be just one insert in this Sunday’s newspapers: a Smartsouce (click here for a preview). Some of the brands that will have coupons include Ortega, French’s, Thomas bread, Alexia, Vlasic, Butterball, and more. A reader, Karen, pointed out that the $0.55/1 Thomas Bagels coupon will go great with the weekend sale at King Soopers – they’d be just $0.99 after doubled coupon! You’ll have to hurry, though, because the $1.99 bagels price ends Sunday at King Soopers.
Coupons vary by region, but what’s in the links above usually matches up pretty closely to what’s in the Denver Post (the best newspaper to buy for couponers in Colorado, since it has a much larger number of coupons).
