The American Nusimatic Association’s Money Museum offers free admission to everyone on the third Saturday of each month – that’s this Saturday, December 21st. The museum is located on the campus of Colorado College and you can see more about their exhibits here.
The Focus on the Family Welcome Center is again opening their theater for free Christmas movies on Saturdays in November and December! They’ll be showing the following movies at 10 AM and 12:45 PM:
- November 30 – Polar Express
- December 7 – Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Veggie Tales: The Star of Christmas
- December 14 – Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
- December 21 – The Star
- December 28 – Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year

The Christmas tree in Acacia Park will be lit up for the first time in 2019 this Saturday, November 23rd, at the official tree lighting ceremony. In addition to the lighting of the tree, they’ll have activities for the kids, live music, and of course, the ice skating rink is now open as well! The Colorado Ballet Society will be presenting six condensed, child-friendly performances of The Nutcracker on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving at Library 21C! This is a 20-minute version of their full performance that takes place at Pikes Peak Center in December.

Crossfire Ministries will have a benefit sale at their location at 2120 E LaSalle St. this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 31st-November 2nd. They’ll have Christmas decor, books, quilts, jewelry, clothes, and more for sale, in addition to a bake sale, all proceeds of which benefit their ministry.
