Smith Farms will be hosting a giant pumpkin festival this Saturday, October 19th!  In addition to the giant pumpkin weigh-off, they’ll have free activities for kids: a giant jumping pillow, pedal go-karts, and more.  Check out their Facebook event for the complete list of activities for this event.

The American Nusimatic Association’s Money Museum offers free admission to everyone on the third Saturday of each month – that’s this Saturday, October 19th.  The museum is located on the campus of Colorado College and you can see more about their exhibits here.

The new Northgate location of Loyal Coffee is officially open as of today (September 30th), and both the downtown and Northgate locations will be offering some special deals and events this week to celebrate.  Check out their Facebook page for the schedule of deals, including B1G1 on Tuesday and $1/$2/$3 specials on Thursday!

The Space Foundation Discovery Center will celebrate their 7th birthday this Saturday, October 5th, and is offering free admission to everyone!  In addition, they’ll have space movies, games, crafts, cake, and more – check out their website for the full list of events.

El Paso County Parks, will host a free mountain biking event for kids at Fox Run Regional Park this Saturday, October 5th:

The event will include guided trail rides, basic skill sessions, prizes and more. This is a terrific way to get kids outside in the woods having fun on their bikes. All ages are welcome: from tots on stride bikes to teens. Riders just need a working bike and helmet to participate.

Challenger Colorado (formerly known as Challenger Learning Center) is celebrating its expansion and remodel with a grand re-opening event this Saturday, September 28th: they’ll have planetarium shows, chemistry demonstrations, space simulations, and more.  Their Facebook event page has the full details and ticket reservations (the event is free).
